How to setup Email Collection ?



Email Collection is a great feature for brands who want to build email lists based on their user's interest and interaction with Engagements

SLAM allows you to easily set up Email Collection, while providing users all required information about data usage and privacy. Here's how it works.


Enable Email Collection


Go to your Engagement, select the Editor and open. Scroll down to Section 5 : Email Capture




This section is opted out by default, as we noticed a majority of brands want to focus on Engagement rather than Lead Generation. By activating the On Button, you open a breakdown menu : 




You will now see Text editors to personalize your user's experience as they finish the Engagement, and get asked to submit their email. 

Please note that Email Submission is not mandatory. Users will be asked whether they want to submit their email, but will still be able to proceed to the end of the experience without doing so. As a result, you might want to clarify benefits of submitting email, such as Participation to a contest, access to free perks, etc... Be creative ! 

Advanced Options 


You can click on More Options to personalize your email Collection. In this section, you will find :

Text Description, to provide your users more information about context and data usage, rules etc...

Optin Message, to collect consent from your users

Extended Info : when enabled, new fields will be added below the email adress collection field





When you have edited your Email Capture parameters, simply save and publish your Engagement like you would normally.
